Adidas recently unveiled Derrick Rose's 5th signature sneaker, the Adidas D Rose 5, and the Chicago Bulls' All-Star guard is already looking forward to future project. Specifically, a possible collaboration with Kanye West.
Yeezy left Nike to join Adidas last December, and if Rose has his way, the two Chicago natives will collaborate in the future.
“It was great hearing that they signed him because him, everything he’s doing, him being an icon, his music, him loving fashion and signing with adidas is just huge step for us, man.
“I hope I have time to colab with him, that would be pretty cool… I’d probably have to wait on that and get the okay from adidas after his shoe comes out.”
Don't be surprised to see the two Chicagoans team up on an Adidas basketball sneaker that is both functional and fashionable, taking inspiration from the former MVP and the egotistical MC. As for now, we know Derrick Rose's D Rose 5 will hit retailers on October 23rd, whereas Yeezy's kicks are still a mystery.
We do know that Kanye's collab with Adidas won't officially release until 2015, but the artist still hasn't revealed what his first joint project with Adidas will look like. A rumored pair of the sneakers leaked, though it wasn't confirmed that they were the official Yeezy x Adidas sneaker.
