Amid rumors that the Doernbecher Jordan 6 would return, Nike reveals the 5th and final Doernbecher retro will be the 2007 Dunk Low.
Designed by Lance Dillon, the dunk featured laser etched graffiti spelling out names of his family members, along with motivational words.
After winning his battle with leukemia, Lance, now 24, holds a degree in anthropology and stated
“Getting to work with the Nike staff and design my own shoe are things that I will always remember. But the greatest part of it was knowing that it was helping other kids that were going through the same things that I went through.”
The Doernbecher Dunk Low returns on August 31st for a retail price of $85. They will release exclusively at Nike.com and at NIKETOWN New York, Nike Georgetown, Nike Chicago, Nike Roosevelt Field, Nike Portland, Nike San Francisco, Nike Dallas, NIKETOWN Los Angeles, Nike Lenox and Nike Las Vegas.
